1. HOW DOES IT WORK?

By asking you simple one line questions which you mainly answer with a "1" for YES if you want to include that item or it will ask you for occasional basic measurements that you read off the plan such as "overall length", "overall width", "ceiling height", "eaves width", "roof pitch" etc. These questions highlight anything missing, which is why we have nothing to do with "scanning" plans because scanning does not pick up any drafting mistakes like omission of detail, all of which can cost you thousands, and because you scanned it, you no nothing about the job, very dangerous.

2. HOW DOES OUR BUILDING NAME, ADDRESS, TELEPHONE, AND OTHER PERMANENT AMENDMENTS GET SENT RIGHT THROUGH THE PROGRAM?

Whatever you type on the Program is permanently sent and saved by firstly clicking on the blue CALC button to put them right through the system, then clicking on FILE / SAVE.

3. DO I KNOW IF ANY OF THE 66000 FORMULAS IN THE PROGRAM HAVE BEEN CORRUPTED BY POWER FAILURES OR LIGHTNING ACTIVITY?

Yes, we have a TEST quote built into the system that uses exactly the same formulas as the main Program, and totals $9,000,000.    The Test quote is automatically loaded each time you load the Program so that you can see by a glance at the test figure that the total is $9,000,000 and therefore the formulas are correct. You UNTEST the system by clicking on the blue U. To TEST the Program at anytime, click on the blue T.

4. WHERE DO I ENTER THE PRICE RATES ON WHICH THE QUOTE WILL BE BASED?

The price rates are already included in the Program under the headings of Labour prices, Material prices and Trades prices, so you only need to check them for your area and overtype any that need altering.

5. HOW DO THE QUANTITIES GET INTO THE QUOTE?

All the quantities are automatically done for you and then automatically
multiplied by the pricing rates already in the system to automatically do the quote, which in turn is printed out ready to send by clicking on one button.

6. CAN I SELECT DIFFERENT STYLES AND SPECIFICATIONS OF THE SAME PROJECT FOR PRICE COMPARISONS?

Yes, because the Program has already priced your project in 50 other construction types at the same time as pricing what you asked for, so you merely have to type a 1 in the types you want to view. You can print anything at any time merely by clicking on it's yellow button.

7. ARE MY OVERHEAD COSTS INCLUDED?

Yes, we have an Internal Costs section that lists the Overheads, tells you how to ascertain them, asks for the number of Projects you propose for the year and adds everything into the quote automatically.

8. AM I ABLE TO USE THIS PROGRAM IN CONJUNCTION WITH ANY ACCOUNTING SYSTEM?

Yes, we have an Overview section that collates and lists all the costs in construction order and divides them into construction stages so that when transferred to the accounting system they become the budget costs.

9. DO I HAVE TO TOTAL THE ITEMS LIKE CARPENTERS LABOUR, NAILS ETC?

No, the overview does all this for you. It also has progress payment columns setting out what you will receive at each progress stage, and progress payment columns showing what you pay your trades and suppliers as the job progresses, and what amounts to enter on the contract.

10. DO I GET TECHNICAL SUPPORT AFTER PURCHASING THE PROGRAM?

Yes, EASI-EST 500 is so easy to use that we don't get many questions, so we don't need any additional staff solely for this purpose therefore we are able to offer a free permanent Support service.

11. HOW DO I GET NEW VERSIONS (UPDATES)?

If required, these are available as an option for twelve months from any Update purchase date. While they are called updates in line with the usual computer jargon each one is actually a copy of the complete new version of the program because we feel that half a new version can cause hassles when it tries to line up with an existing version, even though everything is the same with minor changes.

12. DOES EASI-EST 500 PRINT REPORTS OF EACH SECTION?

Yes, all ten sections in EASI-EST 500 have a printout report and each is printed by only one click of the mouse. Some are 1 page, others have 29 pages and every section has had the Owner's name and details inserted by the program from your "once only" typing of them.

13. DOES IT DO A TIMBER CUTTING LIST?

Yes, when you want the frame timber quantities, EASI-EST 500 automatically calculates and prints out your exact requirements and calculates as you select the variables like single or double storeys, sheet or tile roof span loads, different stud spacings, various ceiling heights, and the type of timber you want to use. As you type a 1, in whichever of these items apply to the particular job, EASI-EST 500 will do the rest then prints out every stick of timber required to do the job, without you doing anything but answer the above items from the plan.
EASI-EST 500 ascertains whether you need multi plates, multi studs, lintel sizes and lengths etc, and is written so that the Frame timber cutting list can be used for all your work, even that obtained before you purchased EASI-EST 500, so you can still build your own frame and retain the profitable frame labour.

14. IS IT A GOOD MANAGEMENT TOOL?

Yes, it is an excellent management tool, unsurpassed in any building software as it automatically calculates and provides everything you want, including the complete breakdown of costs into - the labour content of every item, section, stage and total - the material content of every item, section, stage and total, deducts the Input GST, apportions the Overheads into every Quote according to its size, cost and the efficiency figure, calculates the Trades cost centres in construction order for Accounts cost control, can overtype any cost centre with an outside subcontractors quote, shows what input GST can be claimed back, shows what has to be paid to the ATO for this job, shows and adds Profit, Commission, Sales GST and Contract progress receipts, shows the minimum monthly Retail Production Targets that are necessary to achieve your nominated profit.

15. IS IT A GOOD ADVANCE PLANNING TOOL?

Yes, it is an excellent planning tool. Using the above management tools for planning, EASI-EST 500 automatically shows how the price of each project can be decreased, without altering the price rates of the labour or materials. For example it automatically shows in exact figures per project without you having to calculate it how the project cost decreases if your total yearly overheads can be decreased, or changing the project duration from say 20 weeks to 15 weeks. You can see by actual automatic comparison figures on the screen how you can choose the most profitable balance of planning while still being realistic about duration times and overhead costs, for example you can see how much it will cost per project to have an extra man in the team to make more profits (a cost), compared with how much you will save by less time per project (a saving).

EASI-EST 500 is so quick that you can now do the Quoting accurately and still have time to do your own supervising to avoid the costs of employing a Supervisor and vehicle which could be around $80,000 or so per year, and which could mean having to build another $1,500,000 value for the year for nothing or else raising the overheads of every project just to pay for a Supervisor, and at the same time you are still responsible for all the Guarantees for them.
